| Due to the new cost of tournament permits, 2008 membership fees will be $30 per member. We really hate to do this, but you can thank the DNR for implementing the $120 / per permit fee. This fee does not apply to charitable organizations, however, after we applied for exemption, the DNR realized they had not specified adequately what constitutes an charitable organization, and revised their criteria and made us non-eligible unless we file a bunch of paperwork to meet charitable tax laws. Currently we are not going to pursue the criteria, but may do so in the future. More on that later.... bottom line is we have chosen to remain non-profit, but not a "charity". So ... we will raise the memberships rather than reduce the payout at our tournaments, so you'll see the same great payouts at each of our tournaments and no change in tournament entry fees. As you all know, we aren't in this to make any money off our members, so anything extra we get from the increase (after the permits are paid for) will be used to pay back the fishermen, either through increased payback at the TOC or for year end awards. We hope you all understand and we remain committed to paying as much money back to our participants as possible. | ||||||||||

We'd like to thank everyone who has fished with us this over the past 4 years, as you have made C.A.S.T. a huge success. We will continue to try and improve things and keep this as a true circuit for the anglers. We value everyone's opinion, and encourage you to post on the message board on anything you'd like to see changed, added (or removed), or any other suggetions. We will always strive to keep this a fun, fair, and friendly experience for everyone.
