Mark and Paula Busch Braham, MN Mark and Paula started C.A.S.T. in late summer, 2003 with one "trial" tournament on Lake Le Homme Dieu near Alexandria. The idea was to see what interest there would be in couples tournament fishing in Minnesota. With less than 2 weeks to try and get people involved, 8 teams attended the event, and it turned out to be the start of what is now the C.A.S.T. Coed Anglers Sport Tournament circuit. Mark and Paula have 4 children, all boys, ages 5, 8, 15, and 18. Paula owns and operates RPM Oil, LLC in Lindstrom, MN - A gas station / convenience store / bait and tackle / auto repair. Paula also runs Busch Quarter Horses and Paints where she breeds and trains horses. Currently there are 8 horses, though that number has been as high as 12. She started fishing for the first time in 2000, and her first tournament was with Mark in the Pro Lightning Tuesday Night League in 2003, which they won, and Paula caught the Big Fish of the tournament. Mark has been a tournament fisherman since 1984 and has participated in several circuits, including the Silverado Series, Denny's, Team Supreme, ABA, MN Pro/Am, and countless other smaller circuits. He also fished with the 10,000 Lakes Bassmasters club for 18 years, and qualified for 17 MN State Tournaments. Outside of fishing, Mark works full time as an Engineering Manager for QTI Design in St. Paul, helps with the horses, the store, and operates a small lawn care service with one of the boys.
